Supporting Our Missionaries

Here at Eastside, we take great pride in the work of our missionaries. Did you know that beyond sharing the Gospel in the communities where they serve, our missionaries also teach locals how to be missionaries themselves? It’s an incredible process that multiplies the power and reach of our ministry efforts. Recently, a few of our missionaries have organized short-term trips to other countries to minister and spread the Word. The Ford family from Moldova plans to lead a team to Uganda, while Barry Jones is preparing for a mission trip to India. At Eastside, we value this dedication to training and equipping more missionaries, so we have sent each family a special gift of $300 to assist with their efforts. It’s inspiring to see our missionaries working to create a ripple effect of spreading the Gospel throughout the world.

From the Desk of Pastor Tom

Not only is God loving but He is also perfectly wise. God’s Love would be useless if it were not for His wisdom. Having all love for you would mean nothing if God did not also possess the wisdom to choose the best course of action. In fact, even the possession of all knowledge would not be enough. One must be able to evaluate and choose the best option in applying that knowledge. This is where wisdom comes in. Wisdom has been defined as the ability to correctly apply knowledge. God knows what is happening, God sees, and God knows what should be done. He is able to put the puzzle pieces together exactly as they need to be. He sees into the past and into the future. His perspective is greater than ours. God is fully capable in His wisdom of bringing beauty out of what we perceive as ashes. It is true that we have adversaries and trials. We DO have opposition but God is not surprised by the opposition we face. And even in adversity events do not have to go as we desire for good to be accomplished. God is using that opposition as a means of furthering his divine plan in our lives. We can trust God even when we don’t understand. His wisdom and love brings comfort in uncertainty.
