📖 Adult Bible Study – “How People Change”
Real change can feel out of reach, but God is at work in the everyday moments of our lives (2 Corinthians 3:18). Join us this Sunday at 10am for a new Adult Bible Study series, “How People Change,” based on the teaching of Paul Tripp. Come as you are, bring your questions, and grow with us—we’ll save you a seat.
📖 New Class – Postponed Until January
What stage of life are you in? Newly married, raising kids, or somewhere in between? If you want to go deeper in Scripture alongside other couples, our new Rooted Families Bible study might be exactly what you’re looking for. All are welcome.

Discussion Questions for Who Owns Your Life?
📖 Biblical Insight
1. The Vineyard and the Tenants — Mark 12:1–12
- What does the vineyard owner provide for the tenants before entrusting the vineyard to them? What does this communicate about God’s relationship with His people?
- Why do the tenants progressively reject, mistreat, and ultimately kill the messengers?
- Why was Jesus’ reference to the “beloved son” especially significant?
2. “Give to Caesar…Give to God” — Mark 12:13–17
- Why was the question about paying taxes designed to trap Jesus?
- How does Jesus’ response avoid both political extremes they were trying to force on Him?
- What does Jesus mean when He says, “Give to God what is God’s”?
- How does the fact that we bear God’s image help us understand what belongs to God?
- What does Romans 12:1 contribute to the idea that our whole lives belong to God?
🔨 Practical Application
1. From Ownership to Stewardship
- What areas of life do we tend to think of as “mine” rather than something God entrusted to us?
- How do decisions change if you consciously view everything you have as from God to steward?
2. Living for God Rather Than Ourselves
- What does it look like to surrender control to Jesus without becoming passive or irresponsible?
- If someone observed your schedule for a month, what would it suggest is most important to you?
- What might your spending reveal about what you value?
- What might your conversations reveal about what occupies your heart?
- Are there areas where what you say you value and how you actually live are noticeably different?
🪞 Personal Reflection
1. Where Am I Taking Control?
- Is there an area of my life where I am resisting God’s authority because I want to remain in control?
- What makes it difficult to surrender that area to Him? What would trusting God there look like?
2. What Does My Life Say I Love?
- Does my daily life demonstrate that Jesus is truly my Lord?
- Is there anything competing with God for the place of greatest importance in my life?
3. What Has God Entrusted to Me?
- What gifts, opportunities, relationships, resources, or responsibilities has God entrusted to me?
- Am I using those things primarily for myself, or am I using them to honor God and serve others?
- What is one specific change I need to make this week to live as a steward rather than an owner?
